Review applicants, unlock in-app chat, and hire with confidence.
What it is
Every applicant shows up as a rich profile card — photo, short bio, skills, distance from your business, languages, ratings, and a voice intro if they recorded one. All communication stays inside Job On The Block; we never share phone numbers or email addresses between users.
Where to find it
Open the Jobs tab, tap a job, and you'll see everyone who applied.
How it works
Once you unlock a worker, they stay on your list — you can message them whenever you need them again, no extra cost. All conversations happen in the app, so your history, translations, and ratings stay together. If an offer doesn't work out, just send another or move on; there's no penalty either way.

What to expect
How hiring works:
- Unlock in-app chat to message the worker directly. Uses one of your 2 free monthly contacts, a single unlock ($5), or your Pro subscription.
- Chat directly in the app — messages auto-translate between English and Spanish, so language is never a barrier.
- Send an Offer with a start time. The worker accepts or declines, and you both get a friendly reminder before the shift.
- After the shift, rate the worker. They're saved to your People list, ready for one-tap rehire whenever you need them again.
